How to Change Server License Key

What Is a FiveM License Key?

FiveM license keys authenticate the server, and depending on the license key type it can provide the server with different benefits. You need a FiveM license key to run your server, and to join your server.

How to Generate a License Key?

  1. Go to the Iceline Game Panel and select your server
  2. Go to Configuration > Startup Parameters
  3. Click the “FiveM License Key Info”
  4. Copy the information
  5. Sign in to the following page
  6. Click “Register”
  7. Enter the information from the “FiveM License Key Info”
  8. Once you’ve done that, press “Generate” and copy-paste your key

How to Add Your Server License Key to Your Server

  1. Head to the Iceline Game Panel and select your server.
  2. Select “Configuration”
  3. Select “Startup Parameters”
  4. Copy-paste your server license key into the box with “FiveM license key”

How to Setup Your Database

What Is a Database?

A database is a place for your server to store it’s data in an organised way that it can read and use later on. You will need a database to store your player’s data, such as the items they have, their money and more.

How to Create a Database

  1. Head to the Iceline Panel and click on your server.
  2. To the left of your server, go to the “Databases” tab.
  3. To the right of this page, put any name into the “Database” blank.
  4. Press “Create Database” towards the bottom. You don’t need to put anything into the “Connections” blank.

How to Connect Your Database to Your Server

  1. Head to the game panel and stop your server.
  2. Make sure you have the latest version of mysql-async installed on your server.
  3. In your server’s server.cfg file, insert the following line
  4. set mysql_connection_string "server=localhost;uid=mysqluser;password=password;database=fivem"
  5. Change the details in the connection string to your database details, you can find them under the database tab.
