What Is a Flat World?
In Minecraft, there are many different world types. These include Default, Large Biomes, Amplified, Buffet, and Flat. Having a flat world is commonly seen in servers that are running creative mode. Flat worlds are used to build new objects and buildings as there is no terrain to get in your way. These worlds spawn with no trees, mountains, or any Minecraft structures that you would see in a default world.
How to Make Your Minecraft Server Have a Flat World
- Head to the game panel and stop your server.
- Go to your server’s file management tab and open your server.properties file.
- In the file, go to the “level-type” line and set it as FLAT, then save the file.
- You will then need to reset your world.
- Start the server.
How to Reset Your World
- Head to the game panel and stop your server.
- Go to your server’s file management tab and delete the folder named “world” or whatever name you have set for the world name.
- Head back to the main page of the panel and start your server.
Be aware this will delete all of the worlds in your server (including player data). If you are doing this to make your world flat, do not start your server yet.
How to Create a Flat World With Multiverse
